About This Tour
The Sikkim Darjeeling Diwali Royal Package by Ajay Modi Travels is an exciting 8 Nights 9 Days holiday designed for travellers who want to celebrate Diwali while exploring the stunning Himalayan landscapes of Darjeeling and Sikkim. Starting from Bagdogra, the journey takes you through Darjeeling, Pelling, Gangtok and Lachung before concluding at Bagdogra.
Experience the sunrise at Tiger Hill and views of Kanchenjunga, followed by Darjeeling attractions including Gurkha War Memorial, Batasia Loop, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Center and Tea Garden. Continue to Pelling for Sky Walk, Chenrezi Statue, Pemayungesti Monastery, Rabdentsi Ruins and Bird Sanctuary, followed by Namchi, Chardham and Tea Garden en route to Gangtok. The journey continues through Lachung, Seven Sisters, Bhimnala Waterfall, Yumthang Valley and Zero Point, and concludes with Changu Lake, Baba Temple and Nathu La Pass, subject to conditions.
Tour Information
- Sikkim–Darjeeling package price is higher than the normal tour price due to separate point-to-point transportation arrangements.
- Innova, Xylo or Scorpio will normally be provided. Due to vehicle shortage, Tata Sumo, Bolero or Max may be provided, in which case ₹1,000 per vehicle per day will be refunded.
- NRI tour prices and rules are different. Please inform us before booking.
- Children aged 1–3 years: Minimum transport charge is ₹10,000 per child.
- Lachung: Due to landslides or other natural disasters, overnight stay in Lachung may not always be possible. Hotels in Lachung have basic facilities.
- In case of flight rescheduling, cancellation or missed flight, the traveller will have to bear the transportation cost or additional pick-up/drop charges.
- New Jalpaiguri Railway Station ↔ Bagdogra Airport: ₹1,500 per transfer, subject to the timing of the sharing vehicle.
- Due to low sharing availability, travellers may sometimes have to pay the full vehicle cost for Nathu La Pass and Zero Point.
- Nathu La Pass: Approx. ₹5,500–₹6,000 per car, on the day of Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir visit. Monday closed. Confirmation of Nathu La Pass cannot be guaranteed.
- Zero Point: Approx. ₹4,000–₹4,500 per car, on the day of Yumthang Valley excursion.
- Ravangla Buddha Temple: Approx. ₹2,500–₹3,000 per car, on the day of transfer from Gangtok to Pelling or vice versa.
